- This summer, 2011, my backyard was given the honor as a "Sanctuary" for wildlife. The summer of 2010, I earned my Master Gardner Certification. I hold my Master ECE from Kennesaw State University and use the knowledge gained from my Reading and Gifted Endorsements.

If you have wondered how to extend your child’s learning each week, this is one possible answer.
Every Friday, your child can earn an extra “Blue” slip by bringing something in that connects with the current week’s curriculum.
Example: We may be studying “space” in science. Your child may have gone to the new space center and have an experience to share.
Additional examples might be finding something in a book or off the internet (with your supervision).
Your child will be asked to use their best presenter’s skills and then be able to answer three questions about their experience or examples.
